House of Horror

22nd Septermber, 2011: House of Horror

I watched the dark waves around me reach at the boat, lifting it up and down and tossing it like it nothing but a small plastic bag in the wind. Splashes of water reached over the rim of the tiny canoe and splashed down, ice cold against my legs. The guy in front of me turned and grinned as he lifted his oar and slide it effortlessly through the rough water to propel us forward. I could see in the distance small specks of light flickering, almost inviting me to join them. I leaned forward and asked the guy if he could go any faster. He grinned at me and continued at the same pace. Somewhere in the distance, thunder rumbled the sky lit up in angry flashes. The water got choppy and I felt more and more water slipping into the canoe. I felt the boat twist underneath the water. The oar slipped from the guys arms and he yelled as he lunged forward to grab at it. Unable to reach it as it was stole away by the sea, he turned and grabbed me as the boat turned over. It was quiet underneath the water. I couldn't see the boy any more, or feel him near me. I tried to break for the surface but I could feel the heaviness of the water dragging me further and further down. My lungs began to ache with a need to breathe and I reached higher and higher. I began to see spots in the water, dark spots which seemed to appear out of no where. I reached higher and higher and then finally reached the surface. Taking a deep breath in I looked around me. The boat was nowhere to be seen. Turning around I made out a figuring floating in the water as the lightning flashes again. The rain hit down hard, making it difficult to see. I swam towards the figure and reached out for the boy. I turned him over and saw his eyes were closed. Holding him onto me I looked for the lights. The rain poured down under, I felt the water sweep me away and holding on to the boy I struggled to move against the water. A large wave hit me, hard against my back. I was thrown underwater. I struggled to reach the boy as he drifted away from me. Dark spots appeared in front of my eyes, clouding my vision. I moved for the surface but was tossed back, again and again.

I woke up on a beach covered in sand. I slowly peeled myself off and went into the water to wash what was remaining of the sand off me. I looked down the shore and saw the boy lying on the sand. I moved over slowly to him, my arms and legs arguing from the strain. I turned him over and he coughed up water. He sat up looking confused and staring into the trees. I turned and looked in his direction as a man walked out. He helped the boy up and motioned for us to follow him. I walked after him into the trees. We seemed to walk for a long time, all the trees and areas looking the same, the same vines hanging low on trees, brushing against my hair as I ducked under them. We came to a cleaning with many wooden huts. People came out to see what was going on. He paraded us around the camp before leading us to a house. He pointed inside and simply said "rest". I opened the wooden door and let it creak. The house was nicely furnished and the lights shone brightly lighting up every inch of the house. I wondered why the people chose to live in huts outside with such a nice place right there. The boy and I walked into the spare bedroom where a bunk bed sat. In the corner of the room was an old wardrobe. I pulled open the first draw and pulled out a shirt and a pair of shorts. I quickly changed out of the wet clothes and into them. The boy threw on a pair of shorts and a blue t-shirt. We noticed a few backpacks sitting by the bed and opened them. They contained a flash light and some food. I pulled out a chocolate bar and began to eat. We heard noise coming from one of the other rooms and I walked over and knocked on the door. In the room were several other people. They told us that they had also been in an accident and were staying there for the night in a hope rescue would come. I thought it was weird that there was so many accidents but thought little of it. The boy and I went back to our room and turned the light off. He switched the tv on and the light lit up the room. He began to flick through the channels as I lay on the top bunk half asleep. I heard a scream some time later and opened my eyes. It took me a minute to work out where I was and the tv was still lighting up the room. The boy was gone so I picked up a flash light and headed into the hallway. The hallway had streams of blood across the walls and splashed across the floor. I headed for the door where the others were and knocked. No one came to the door so I turned the handle. The room was dark and I reached for the switch in the doorway. My hand brushed something as I tried to turn the light on and off. The light turned on for a second then the bulb exploded sending the room into complete darkness. I turned the flash light on and shined around the room. The room was empty but blood splattered the walls and furniture. In the corner I could hear a strange sound. My light hit a girl who was chewing on an arm. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were completely black. She lunged forward at me and I slammed the door closed. I could hear her scratching at the door and it sent shivers up my spine. I walked along the corridor, but I didn't hear a sound from everywhere. I turned left into the next corridor and into the shared bathroom. The room was dark, and barely lit by the lamp by the mirror. I walked past the cubicles, checking each one for people inside them. It was quiet.. I could hear the dripping of a tap on the vanity and the sound of water spilling onto the floor. I turned and saw the first cubicle floor had water coming from it. Assuming the toilet had clogged I continued towards the back. I heard a shuffle of a noise as a couple of the girls entered the room. I yelled at them to be careful, but they turned. They seem to stare at me for a minute. I stared back only to realise they were staring at something to the right of me. Slowly I turned and came face to face with a figure I couldn't quite recognise. The features distorted in a haze. The thing rushed at me and I hit the tile floor hard. I turned as it passed through the girls and watched as their eyes slowly became dark. Their faces grew menacing as I struggled to get up. I reached for something to pull me up and grabbed onto a cord. Lifting myself up I noticed the cord was a hair straightener which was plugged in. The girls came closer and closer to me, with no means of escape I turned the straightener on and threw it at the group, hoping to hit the water and electrocute them. The hair straightener bounced and landed in the water. Nothing happened. I looked at the powerpoint and the cord had been dislodged and the turned off. I plugged it in quickly and turned the switch on. The room lit up in a blue haze as the girls screamed. I ran quickly, as the screaming had brought the attention of others. The hazy figure seemed to dash in and out of rooms and the house seemed to get darker. I ran through the corridor, feeling them behind me before I ran into someone. I struggled to get away from them as a hand clamped over my mouth and dragged me into a dark supply closet. I breathed heavily, shaking as the hand held hard against my mouth. I could feel someone behind me and I wondered if this would be how I died. I could hear the sound of thumping in the hallway outside. Slowly the sound got more distant until it was a faint echo. The hand dropped and I turned, shining my flash light at the person. The boy looked at me with a sense of relief. He told me he had tried to wake me but I appeared to be dead as I would not wake for anything. He explained he had shaken me and slapped me but I didn't wake and he was afraid that whatever happened to them had happened to me. He leaned forward and opened the door and peered into the corridor. He motioned for me to follow him as we slipped into the darkness. We crept silently through the hallway until we reached the front door. I reached for the handle as a scream shook out across the room. I turned to see the white haze lunge at us. It's impact was cold as ice as it threw me through the front door and onto the front veranda, disappearing into nothing as the sun hit the porch. I breathed heavily, my chest aching from the impact. The boy sat up next to me, his arms covered in dark purple bruises. The man who had led us there walked up to us. He smiled and looked behind him. His people seemed to come up behind him and they watched as he lead us down a dark alley. I don't know why we followed him, perhaps it was from exhaustion, perhaps it was from fear. The alley seemed to be filled with faces of the people in the room. He pointed them out to us as if he was proud. Reaching the end, he smiled once more, then something heavy hit me in the head. Everything went dark.

I awoke in the room with the bunk bed. The boy laying next to me on the bottom bunk. I looked down and I was wearing a long t-shirt which was covered in blood. My head ached and I reached behind to feel blood mattered in my hair. The boy moved slightly but did not wake. I shook him and he opened his eyes. "Fuck" he said. I looked to where he was looking at the white haze stood at the end of the bed. Waiting.

Paris

9th August, 2011 : Paris

"Hey, wake up" the voice next to me said softly. My eyes opened and I looked around the blurred room slowly. I blinked a few times to clear my vision and realised I was sitting on a plane. The girl next to me, a friend I was assuming, had a large grin on her face. I smiled back and she shifted excitedly in her chair. "We're almost there". Shifting to a more comfortable position, I leaned over to pick up my handbag and its contents which were spread out on the floor in front of me. It must have fallen while I was asleep I thought. Grabbing my wallet I leaned back in my chair and stared out of the window. The city below was unfamiliar to me and I couldn't shake a slight excitement that coursed up my spine as I looked down below. The buildings were bathed in an orange hue and the water beneath us seemed to shimmer up, reflecting the night sky and it's thousands of stars. The plane began its descent and we landed on a pier, the city behind us and the ocean in front. I got up and off the plane, ignoring any luggage and grabbing at my camera in my bag. I stepped off the plane into the night air, it was cool against my skin and the air smelled of sea and what could only described as musty old library books. I turned around and the plane had disappeared and the group of people who I was with, who seemed more like a class than a random bunch of travellers, were standing discussing excitedly about where we were. I looked up past the buildings and made out the image of the Eiffel Tower in the background. Paris? I thought to myself. Scanning the buildings around it, it didn't feel like Paris, it didn't look Paris but I couldn't shake the feeling that this was where I was. I looked up across the water at a bridge in the distance. It spanned across the water from one side of the land to the other. I made out the faint lights of a train passing underneath the section of the road, and a few cars driving in and out of the streetlights on the bridge. I took my camera and began taking pictures of some of the buildings, the bridge and the surrounding landscape. A feeling of dread crept up as I took a picture of the old prison. Turning around to tell my friend about it, I found myself standing alone on the pier. I looked up at the bridge, there were not cars, I glanced around the street and not a person was in sight. The silence that sounded was deafening and was only broken by the occasional wave breaking against the wood of the pier's support stands. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow disappear into the prison. I turned quickly and headed in the direction, calling out for whatever it was to stop. Throwing the door of the prison open I moved into the darkness.

Inside the prison, there was only a dark spiral staircase leading down below. Gripping the railing tight I began to descend down the stair case, taking the stairs one at a time for what seemed like a long time. The first section off the stairs was a door way to the right in the stone wall. I reached out and tried to turn the knob. The door wouldn't open or budge. Turning it the other way I threw my weight against the door. Still nothing. Giving up I continued down the stairs, the light seeming to get dimmer as I went down each stair. The second landing had an open door. The room itself was bare with only an old metal bed with no mattress sitting in the corner. An old pot laid cracked by the small slit in the room, which was lit up only by the full moon outside on the water. Walking to the small "window" I got the strange impression of a girl pacing back and forth by the window. She had no shoes and her hair was messed. I imagined she smelled from the look of her ratty clothes. I could feel her sadness and anger, which seemed to mix together in an overpowering emotion. I hurried out of the room, closing the door behind me. I could hear my heart in my ears beating quicker. What was this place? I saw a shadow moved below and again hurried to catch up. The next landing brought me to a small kitchenette. There was an old wood fire stove in the corner. The middle of the room held a large wooden bench which seemed to be rotting. I turned from this room and headed down again, ignoring 3 more landings before reaching the bottom. The bottom appeared to be a dungeon. I could see, or maybe it was a feeling or just my imagination the image of a man chained up against the wall. His head hung downwards so I couldn't see his face over the mess of unkempt hair. His hands where he had been chained were stained with dried blood. On the opposite side was a woman, her hair messed and tangled. Her body caked with months of dirt which just clung to her. Her feet were covered in dirt and mixed in with the red-orange of blood that had smeared as she walked back and forth over glass. I got a feeling of being trapped and turned to walk up the stair case, only the stair case wasn't there anymore. In its place was an old wooden door with a brass handle. I took a deep breath and turned the handle, opening the door. I stared into darkness. There was nothing there, no light, no shadows just black. From the distance I could make out a blur of something coming towards me. Faint at first, the white blur moved closer and closer, getting bright and brighter until it hit me, hard in the chest, throwing me backwards.

I landed hard on my behind on the stone street beside the peer. My friend offered a hand to help me up and laughed that I was "such a klutz". She said she had been looking for me everywhere and that we had to head to the hotel. We started walking in the direction she claimed was the hotel. I followed her, looking at my surroundings. The buildings were the same, the bridge was the same but there was something different, something not right. As we got closer to the hotel, I began to notice that while it resembled a hotel in size, it felt more like the prison that I had just been in. I grabbed my friend's arm and told her that we shouldn't go in there. She turned around to ask 'why not' only it wasn't her face I stared into; it was the girl pacing in the first room. She grabbed my arm, squeezing hard and just said "run" before she appeared to burst into a dark liquid which seeped into the ground. I turned and ran towards the bridge. I could hear my feet thumping against the floor and then a pain shot up my leg. I looked down and saw that I wasn't wearing shoes. Where had my shoes gone?? I stopped to pull the large piece of glass that was gutting from the sole of my right foot. Warm blood filled up the gap where the glass had been. I tossed the glass aside, hearing it break on the side of the street as I continued towards the bridge. A train pulled in to the right of me, from the train got off a guy friend of mine. I ran towards him, screaming his nickname, "A", and he caught me just before I tripped over, slipping on the blood from my foot. "What the hell happened to you?" he said, helping me to my feet. I gave him a quick hug and said "we need to get out of here now, it's not real". He looked at me puzzled. I continued running up the metal staircase leading to the bridge. Hesitantly, he took off after me and finally I was standing at the start of the bridge. "A" caught up behind me and stood next to me. The bridge was covered in a white-grey fog that seemed to get thicker and thicker. In the fog I could make out a guy walking towards me. He was dressed in a suit with a cowboy hat on covering his face. He's voice seemed to come from everywhere as he spoke. "It's not going to be that easy". From behind me was a large crash. I turned to see the hotel disappear down into the ground, debris flying towards other buildings. A large black figure seemed to creep up from behind us. Its arms hung down low past its knees and seemed to almost drag against the ground. The shape of the creature seemed to be about four or five stories high. I took off along the bridge, A followed me. As we headed along the bridge, I could make out small white creatures coming at us. The appeared to be cat-like in shape, but had fangs that protruded down past the creature's chin. They also had razor sharp claws and tails in the shape of arrows. The lunged at us, I dived down past the first one, wishing I had kept that piece of glass with me. Another creature lunged at us and I rolled over to the side of the bridge, almost falling off. I balanced myself and got up. I moved towards the deserted cars that were sitting on the road. None of them would open. "Fuck I swore", as I saw one of them come up behind me in the reflection of the window. I ducked down at it went through the window. Its tail caught on the side of the car and ripped. I grabbed the arrow, and drove it into the stomach of another creature that had crept up behind me. I could hear the large black creature coming closer as I took off, A was nowhere in sight, I hope he had gotten away.  More little creatures came at me, I dodged left and right, however they just seemed to grow in number. I could see that I wasn't even half way through the bridge and I was growing tired and dizzy. My foot ached and my hands were covered in blood. A few of the creatures lunged at once, scratching me deep in my shoulder. I kicked out hard, connecting with one of them in the face. I rolled to the left; however the bigger creature stomped hard at this moment. I was unable to stop and rolled off the side. I gripped onto the ledge with both hands; however the blood made it hard to hang on. My right hand slipped and I struggled to re-grip onto the bridge. The creatures came closer and ran their fangs along my knuckles. Unable to hold on, I let go and fell down into the water below. It was ice cold.  I could make out A in the water, he was just floating there. I dove down and grabbed him and began to rise to the surface. Breaking through the water I took in a large gulp of air. A looked up at me, coughing up water. In the water I could make out the images of a lot of people, including the girl who had told me to run. A looked at me and said "definitely should have stayed home". I heard a deafening roar and covered my ears with my hands. I was feeling lightheaded, and I assumed I had lost too much blood. I looked up at the bridge to see the little creatures jump into the water and head towards us. "Fuck" I swore. But that wasn't the worse of my problems as the large creature also jumped from the bridge into the water. They swam at us, moving faster and faster along the water, a blur of white and a dark shape in the middle. From the bridge I heard laughing.  The man with the hat stood there, watching.

Monster

Sometimes in life, I sit and say to myself, why would you do that when you know it's stupid.. Apparently dream me has the same stupidity in her... This dream I have no idea about, all I know is, Freddy Kruegar doesn't stand a chance against my mind.

27th July, 2011: Monsters

I was waiting for a friend to pick me up, and I could feel that feeling of dread creeping up inside my stomach. I knew this was a bad idea, but for some reason, I figured I had already committed to it so I should go along with it. This definitely wasn’t my brightest idea. The car pulled up and I got in. I said hi to the guy sitting next to me and we drove to a cafĂ©. I got out and we sat and had a coffee, catching up. He told me he had just broken up with his girlfriend and I asked what happened. He launched into the story and I promptly tuned out to, looking at the people around me. I realised it was getting late and asked him to drop me home.  He got a strange look on his face and then walked to the car. Instead of taking the right turn, he turned left into a dark street which was surrounded simply by dirt. I assumed this was a construction site, and dream me knew I’d been here before, and nothing good ever came from here.  I looked at him, and his face seemed darker. He started giving me the, I didn’t invite you to coffee as a friend speech and that he would get what he wanted. I hated when people got like this, I could feel the hatred building mixed slightly with fear. I grasp my bag harder in my right hand, opened the door while the car was moving, and jumped out. I started heading back towards the lights on the road. He came after me, grabbing at my legs and tripping me over. I kicked hard and felt my foot connect with his face. I heard him swear as I scrambled up and ran towards the street. I dodged the cars and landed in a square which was filled with stalls and small carts selling food. I ran through there, asking for someone to help me, but not many people seemed to notice I was standing there. Across the square I could see the guy; he was just standing there, watching me, a strange smile on his face. I turned down an alley way and ran into a girl, someone I thought I knew.  I quickly explained to her what had happened and she told me we had to go out there. We went into the crowd, behind me a small group of people were building. He was standing there, a small group surrounding him as well. He walked up to me and grabbed at my wrist. What I imagine to be a shooting pain went through arm, and I lashed out hard. He kicked me in the ribs, still holding onto my wrist. One of the girls behind me got angry and charged at him. Soon enough there was fighting going on everywhere. Frustrated at feeling weak, I lashed out, hard, my fist connecting with the side of his jaw. He let go of my wrist and I kicked him hard in the stomach. He slumped over; I brought my first down hard on his skull. There was a loud noise as my fist connected with his head, and then he slumped to the ground, passed out. My arms were killing me and before I knew it I was sitting on the side of a fountain being checked over. The paramedic checking me over informed me I had a broken wrist and bruised ribs and I probably shouldn’t do anything strenuous. Then he smiled at me and said, “we both know that won’t happen though…”
After the attack my friends insisted on taking me to see a psychologist. We walked into the office and the three of us had a joint session. We each got to take a turn discussing an issue, none of which actually had anything to do with the events that had just occurred. I sighed, listening to my friend talk about her problems, using up pretty much all the time since she was self-centred like that. After we finished the psych told us she’d like to see us all again, and I told her that wouldn’t be happening since I was getting on a flight in a few days to go home. She handed me a card “just in case” and we headed out the door. The place we were in was dark and the trees seemed to cling to the night air. They were all bare so I assumed it must have been winter, even if it didn’t feel that cold. A strange smell seemed to drift across the breeze and I got another bad feeling in my stomach.  The parking lot was completely secluded and my friend gave me a look which translated to, can we just get on with this I’m tired. She walked over to the car and stuck her key in the door, only to have Freddy Kruegar appear behind her and cut her arm off. She screamed as he stabbed her with his knives. I sighed for a second, thinking this couldn’t be happening and walked over to a tree. Hanging from one of the branches was a machete. I picked it up and walked over to Kruegar. I took a swing and beheaded him, laughing to myself at how my head was probably too scary for him to handle. I kicked his head aside and looked to my other friend. I handed her the car keys and told her to get out of there because something worse was coming. I watched as the trail of blood from Kruegar’s beheaded body appeared to move towards the trees. I sighed and had an awful feeling that whatever was coming next, I probably wouldn’t be able to beat. From the trees came a large man, if that’s what you could call it. He had no mouth, just eyes that seemed to fixate on something and destroy it. He was two, maybe three times taller than me, and made completely of muscle. He pushed trees over as if they were nothing more than a tooth pick sitting up in the dirt. He came at me and tossed me aside. I hit the tree to the left of me hard, landing on my wrist which still hadn’t healed properly.  It went into the house and I could hear people screaming, and I knew right then and there, there was nothing I could do to stop this thing. Getting onto my bike I started to ride down the back streets, heading for a friend’s place who I was hoping would be able to help me. I got a call and I took it as I was riding, avoiding the obstacles which seemed to appear. I could hear the creature coming behind me, knocking over houses as it went, however I couldn’t hear any screams... it was as if the world had gone silent or everyone disappeared. My friend told me I needed to get to his as soon as I could, otherwise there would be little hope left. The creature was getting closer and closer, until it swiped at my back wheel, sending the bike from underneath me sprawling across the road. I landed hard with a thump and rolled along the pavement. I heard a swear word as my friend came out with a rocket launcher and launched one at the creature’s face. I got up and scrambled over to where he was, only to find myself staring face to face with a smaller version of the creature in his place. The creature spoke that I had to hurry, however I stared at what used to be my friend confused. The creature lunged again, throwing the smaller one against the road, spikes began to appear leading up to the smaller creature until it was impaled. I grabbed the spike protruding from the creature’s chest; it burned my hand as I touched it. Without so much as a flicker, I ran at the creature, sticking the spike into its leg. It hit the floor, hard, making everything shake. Large holes began to appear along the road, and I ran in an attempt not to fall in. Unfortunately I was too slow to get there and the floor caved beneath me. Grabbing onto the edge as I fell I clung on with all my strength to avoid the dark black that awaited me below. The blood from the creatures leg seemed to crawl towards me, slow at first, and then gaining more and more speed the closer it got. I didn’t want it touching me so I tried to move my hands, however I had little choice. I was either going to have to find out what happened if it got to me, or fall into the darkness. The blood reached my hand and began to sting my wrist where the breakage was. It was ice cold and my hand instantly reacted to get away. I could feel myself falling, but there was no point, the blood was on me and was wrapping itself around me. I could feel the cold against my bruised rib. It seemed to feel better against it; however I couldn’t shake the feeling of disgust as it encompassed me. I seemed to fall faster for a second, and then I slowed to a float. Reaching the bottom there was darkness around me and I peered into it, for the first time that day, unafraid. I could see red eyes looking back at me and I walked towards it. I could hear voices telling me to stop, the guy who attacked me, the self-centred girl, the psychologist, the friend and a thousand others I could barely make out. But I didn’t listen. I walked into the darkness, following only the red eyes I could make out. And then I woke up.

Movie Massacre

I flopped down on the pull out arm chair, and pulled the lever back to release the foot rest. I shifted in the seat until I was in a more comfortable position between two pillows and then looked over at J who was trying to pick a movie to watch. S was lying on the lounge, a bowl of popcorn in her hands. 'Just pick something' she said to J who was still trying to decide between two dvds. He finally decided and slid the dvd into the dvd player. He grabbed the remote off the top and flopped onto the couch, missing S's feet by on a bit but with enough force to send some popcorn flying across the room onto the floor. S got up and switched the lights off, then laid back onto the couch. J pressed play on the remote. The movie began. I reached over and grabbed a hand full of popcorn, and ate them on at a time as the opening credits ran. "So what did you decide on?" I asked. "twilight zone", he said. 'I felt like something creepy". I laughed and said "so you decided on twilight zone?” He laughed and said "just watch it". The movie started with a guy standing in a lab. He was playing with some chemicals, when a (for lack of a better word) ghost like creature appeared behind him.  I pushed into him and you could see the imprints of the ghost on his skin. It began pushing outwards, stretching his skin outwards away from him. He screamed in agony and I felt a wave of nausea watching the movie. Then the guy appeared fine. He had a strange look on his eye as he walked out of the lab. His assistant was sitting at the computer typing notes. He walked up behind her, she didn't seem to notice, and then he went translucent and went into her, doing the same thing that was done to him, stretching her skin as if he was trying to break out of her. Except she didn't seem fine at the end. Instead he managed to break through the skin and splattered blood across the room. I got up, feeling a bit grossed out to go grab a drink of water. I asked S and J if they wanted anything, and J asked for the chocolate from the cabinet in the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of coke from the fridge. I turned to the cabinet and reached for it. The door swung open quickly by itself. I jumped back for a second, then composed myself, grabbed the chocolate off the top shelf, closed the door and headed back inside. I tossed the chocolate across the room at J. I asked him if the door of the cabinet ever opened by itself. He laughed and said he was surprised I could even open it since it always got stuck and he had to yank it really hard. Weird I thought. I leaned back in my chair to peer into the kitchen. I could see the cabinet from where I was sitting. It slowly opened itself again. I turned my attention back to the movie, telling J that the cabinet was opening itself again. He got up and walked towards it, but it was closed. I laughed it off and said I was trying to scare him, even though it had happened. I leaned back in my chair, watching the ghost in the movie rip through a new person. I began to wonder if this movie even had a plot other than gore and ripping people apart. The scene flickered to a house where a girl with dark hair was thrown on the floor as the guy came closer. He seemed to get darker in feel with each person he ripped apart. He reached for her, and I closed my eyes not really wanting to see another splatter fest. 'That was close' I heard next to me. I opened my eyes and turned to my right. On the arm of the chair the girl from the movie was sitting next to me. She smiled at me and said "thanks for getting me out of there. I hate that bit". I looked at her confused when the dvd just went black. It stopped playing. "Fuck" said J as he switched the lights on and went over to the dvd player. He took the dvd out, cleaned it and put it back in. Again it wouldn't play. Frustrated he decided we should head over to the main house for dinner.

I got up, and the movie girl followed me. We walked through the door into a dark backyard. For some reason, I couldn't find my shoes and we started looking for it in the backyard. I headed down towards the corner and found two different shoes, one left, one right, both my sides but opposites. One was blue and the other was black. We continued to look around the old tree. J and S had disappeared down the side of the house and I couldn't see them in the garden. I could hear the tree creaking and a strange wind seemed to be blowing through the tree... but only that tree since nothing else in the garden was moving and I couldn't feel anything. The girl from the movie came up to me and whispered that we should really go inside since she had a bad feeling, similar to the one she felt in the movie. We moved away from the tree, a strange cry seemed to course through the air and we ran for the house. We walked inside and it was warm. The dining room was dimly lit with candles and I could hear the TV in the background. The lady inside the house asked me to go into the front room and ask the guy in the front to come to the table, dinner was almost ready. I walked into the front room. The TV was playing the same movie, with another girl standing in a park as the man dove into her skin from behind her. Her clothes seemed to stretch forward as he pushed through her. She screamed as her clothes stretched further and further in front of her, revealing the impression of his face. Then instead of bursting through, it appeared to be sucked back inside. The shot panned upwards to her face. I was staring at my own face in the movie. Movie me smiled and pointed behind me then the screen went black. I turned around, nothing was there. I told the guy watching the movie dinner was almost ready. We headed to the table and sat down. There was a lot of food on the table, and the candles seemed to just light up enough of the room to make out people's faces. The movie girl sat next to me as everyone began to eat. There were two seats spare for J and S who would "be along shortly" according to the lady who had been cooking. Everyone started eating when the guy next to me started to make a big deal about having to sit next to me. I flashed him an angry look, as he started complaining about how it women should eat the left overs, and that we were all dumb. He continued on and on and I chose to ignore it, until he began to shove me every time he made a point. I started getting mad, but tried to keep it under control until he shoved me hard, almost pushing me off the chair. I screamed at him that I had two degrees and I was smarter than he would ever be, considering that all he did was sit on his butt and watch TV while his wife went out and made the money since he was inadequate. He looked shocked at me for a second then grabbed my hand and the steak knife off the table. His face went red as he called me a "bitch" and he'd teach me a lesson. Red flashed in front of my eyes for a second, then he began to scream. I watched as something stretched through him, bursting through his skin. I saw the impression of a girl's face that looked quite a bit like mine, but slightly different. Suddenly the whole room was screaming and blood began to splatter onto the walls. I closed my eyes, and curled up into a ball to avoid seeing it all. The screaming began to die down until all I could hear was the flicker of the candles. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see the girl from the movie. 'Did you have to do that? Now we have to clean this up and leave here... I was starting to like this place to. Tell me you still have you fake passport". I looked at her confused for a second. She sighed and said "don't pretend you don't know what's going on. This happens every time and now we have to start all over again." I looked to the door to S and J walking up the steps. I pointed it out to her, she looked at me and said “so are we going to run or are you going to take care of them as well? Whats two more bodies considering the mess you've made?" I wasn't sure what to do, but I heard the door click as they turned the handle. Then I woke up.

Blood and Blindness

I know it's been a while since I update, and I have a huge back log of dreams to type up... which won't get done. I've just been too busy between being in Melbourne and working wayyy too often. Anyways this morning I woke up from a dream that I had to type up.

6th July 2011: Blood and Blindness

I was sitting in my parents car. We were driving along the road, and the traffic on the road was terrible. We were trying to get to my doctors house (which realistically isn't a house, it's a surgery up the road from my house, but in the dream seemed very far away). My dad swore at the traffic and told me we weren't going to turn off at the usual turn, instead we were going to go up, and then down the secondary street, since the traffic there was usually a lot quieter and hopefully, wouldn't have traffic. As we sat in the car, waiting for the traffic to move and crawling along the way, the topic of blood type came up. I asked my parents if they knew what mine was, but they had no idea, since they were both different from one another. I decided when we got to the doctors, I was going to ask to have it done. As we drove along, I noticed the car behind us, looked exactly like our one. Turning my head, so I was facing the rear of the car, I looked into the second one, and noticed that the car was identical to ours... and so were the people in it. I lifted my hand to wave, and so did the duplicate of me. Weird I thought. My dad made a sharp turn, and stopped outside of the doctors. He told me to go in, get what was done and meet them later.

I walked into my doctor's house, which seemed darker and yet cleaner than before. She had me lay back on a bed as she grabbed a needle. She told me this would be quick, and she'd send my blood away to determine my blood type. I felt a prick as I closed my eyes, and then it was over. She did this several times, each time, putting the needle in a different spot on my arm. When I opened my eyes, she was holding up the container, a strange look on her face. I looked at the vials, and the blood seemed too watery, almost like diluted cordial. She said that didn't look right, and then started mention blood type C, and then C05 whatever that meant. She said she'd try it again, only this time she'd go slower. She positioned the needle, again I felt a prick and then a sucking sensation. This time the vial appeared to be filled with blood, which she quickly sealed and put into an envelope. She told me to get up, and the room spun a little. Blood continued to fall down my arm, and I looked around confused. She handed me a bandaid and told me I had to go. I quickly put the bandaid on my arm so it wouldn't stain my white shirt, and placed my envelope on the mantel with the other letters. As I turned the door handle, standing in front of me, was the duplicate me. She had a strange smile on her face, as she pushed me hard.

I landed hard on the ground, in a place I had never seen before. There was a horse standing next to me, which told me to quickly get on if I ever wanted to go home. I climbed onto the horse and it began to ride, searching for something, which I couldn't see. I noticed that most things appeared to be a blur to me, except the horse, and the horse walked slowly along the ground, as if careful not to trip on anything. I kept looking for something, barely making out shapes amongst the red and brown hue that seemed to surround this place. The place it self felt heavy and I remember being disgusted by the smell. We approached a place that seemed to be even more barren than where we were standing. There was small traces of water lining bits, and I noticed a distinctive silver glare over some of it, and the movement of something large. "Basilisk" the horse sent to my mind. "We shouldn't go this way" it sent. I had a feeling we had to, and I urged the horse forward, instruction it not to step on any of the water, and to keep it's eyes forward or towards the sky. I stared forward, attempting to avoid looking at the movement which caught my peripheral vision. I could feel something close, when the horse stopped moving. I urged it forward. Nothing. I looked down and the horse appeared glass like under me. I climbed down, and touched it. It was cold and lifeless. All of a sudden a tail came out of no where and shattered the horse into pieces in front of me. I turned to run, trying not to fall into the small pools of water which seemed to be littered everywhere. I could feel things moving around me, and then I felt something large pass under the ground beneath me. I threw myself against a large rock, covering my eyes, as I felt bits of rock fall against me. I felt myself being hurled through the air, and my back smacked hard into what I imagined to be another rock surface. I turned, my hands grabbed at the rock and I began to climb up it, hoping to get away from whatever was underneath. Again I felt myself being tossed like a rag doll, this time landing on a flat piece of rock. I opened my eyes, and climbed up the larger bit of rock. I could feel something watching me. When I finally got to the top, I could see a dull shape coming up on my left. I closed my eyes and held on. In  the distance I heard a yell, and the sound of a gun. I opened my eyes in that direction and saw a guy running towards me. He held a gun in his hand which he shot sporadically in the air to scare the creature off. He got to the rock and climbed up towards me. The creature appeared right behind him. I stupidly looked at it, and felt my feet slowly start to turn into glass. Unable to look away, I watched as the creature grabbed at the man. Instead of screaming, the guy put his hands over the cloth to block light and offered a trade. The basilisk stopped. The glass was up to my thighs at this stage and it too stopped moving upwards. The basilisk and the man appeared to talk, and then, the guy removed the cloth from his eyes. The basilisk then proceeded to pull his eyes out slowly. The guy screamed and on completion of the removal of both eyes, dropped him on the top of the rock alongside me. The glass around me shattered, and my legs were back. I ran over to the guy, who'd put the cloth over his empty sockets. The creature dove through the rock floor, and disappeared. I helped the guy up, who smiled and said, "good thing this is a dream huh?" and I said I guess. He pointed to the horizon and asked me what I saw. The sky was red and both the moon and sun were out, sitting along the top of the water. I described it to him, and he smiled saying he wish he could see it. I asked if they hurt, he said a bit, but it would be over. I asked what next? And he turned to face me and said "Let's hope that bitch of yours doesn't come back, because we're both blind, we don't have a horse, and I guarantee that Basilisk will be back". Then I woke up to the sound of my alarm.
