Killer

This dream was from last night.. or early this morning.. Probably early this morning since we all know I don't end up in bed til after midnight... I've got no words for it really it just is...

12th April, 2011 : Killer
I was walking along the beach, just enjoying the night air when I got to this small village. The people in there seemed friendly enough. They were growing their own food and making their own things, they had little huts made of wood, which should have seemed strange, but it wasn't. I started talking to one of the ladies who was telling me they were waiting for the god to possess one of their own to tell them what to do next. She said the candidates were sitting up on the hill waiting. I was curious so I wandered up there, through the trees that had somehow appeared. It was dark out, and I could barely see more than a little in front of me as I followed the old dust path up to the top. Three men were lying on stone benches. The stared lifelessly at the moon rising. I watched them closely, they didn't move. It was almost like they were dead. There was a strange feeling in the air, and the wind seemed to just breeze past teasingly, like something moving slightly behind me, then in front as I turned to view it. I could feel hands through my hair, but there was nothing. Just me standing on top surrounded by stone benches. One of the men jerked suddenly, he grabbed my arm, his eyes lifeless as he screamed "run" at me. I took off, heading back down the path, I could see the men rising behind me, and I decided to weave my way through the trees, hoping to lose them. I could hear people behind me, getting closer and closer. I weaved in and out of trees, hearing the sounds of foodsteps behind me. A voice drifted through the air "this way" it whispered. I turned and looked into the tunnel. "this way" it whispered again... I took one look behind me, ran into the darkness and nothing.

I opened my eyes slowly, they hurt. The sun beamed down, i struggled to see as I rolled over. I was lying in a clearing. I looked down at my clothes, the jeans were dirty and places had rips on them. I slowly got up, my body acheing. I stumbled my way back to the path and headed down to the village. When I got there, everything was quiet. The wooden huts appeared to be fallen over. I walked up to a girl and asked what happened, she looked up at me through tears and walked away. I headed towards the middle of town, only to see a large amount of people gathered, whispering to each other. I made my way through the crowd to see the man who told me to run, butchered on the floor. He's eyes looked through me. Someone grabbed me and threw me to the ground, screaming it was my fault. I kicked them, hard, and got up, It wasn't my fault. I didn't do anything I screamed.

Night began to fall and I noticed people were "investigating" the death. I followed the investigators down through the beach and into a cemetery. In the cemetery I found the other two men, lying on the floor, their hearts ripped out.  I wandered through the cemetery, wondering why this was a good idea at night, only to be stopped by a little boy. He looked me in the eye, his eyes dark with no whites and asked if I knew yet. I didn't know what he was talking about. I followed the child through the graveyard, until I came back to the top of the hill. The benches were bare this time.. I felt the wind pick up again. I looked down at the water wondering what was going on. I could feel something wrapping around me. I felt a cold hand throw me down onto the bench. I could see something misty above me just hovering. Then I felt something rip through me. Tears welled in my eyes as the pain coursed through my body. Above me, a ghostly impression of myself appeared in the mist. It smiled at me, then disappeared into the night sky. I closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was lying on a beach. A man sat next to me, asking if I was ready for the next target. I smiled, dropping a photo on the ground. "Of course darling" I said, as I walked away. I turned to see the photo of the three men on the bench float out to sea. I closed my eyes, felt the sun on my skin. I felt the man's hand close around mine as he gave me another photo. This time of three girls, all smiling, their faces marked with an X.
